Bertha Ella Cone was one of the grand ladies of the Houston Hemerocallis Society. Tireless in her dedication to the club, Bertha was instrumental in the growth of the club in the sixties and seventies. She was president of the club from 1971 to 1974. Bertha also hybridized and registered COOL ACRES, CELESTIAL CLOUDS, and TEXAS CARDINAL (pictured below).
