Daylilies (a.k.a. Hemerocallis) are one of the easiest flowers to grow.

Today's daylilies are no longer just orange and yellow. They now come in a multitude of colors, shapes, and sizes and different forms to please many different tastes. The Houston Hemerocallis Society is a group of gardening enthusiasts who share the love of growing daylilies.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming meeting on March 28th at our usual location, the Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion at McGovern Centennial Gardens.

Members are reminded that at this meeting we will play our favorite game "Daylily Bingo" where every participant is guaranteed to win a daylily.

But that's only the beginning of the fun. We will also have four daylilies that you can bid on in our silent auction. This year we will auction off the following cultivars: Fields of Grace, Heavenly Blackberry Beauty, Bernice and Jenice '49, and Alive Again.

This meeting will also be plant exchange night. Members are encouraged to bring any extra treasures from their garden to share with other members.

This year our annual daylily sale will be held in conjunction with our first Daylily Show in five years. Please visit our Plant Sales page for location and times along with pictures of the 70 different cultivars that we have growing in pots for our 2024 Spring Daylily Sale.
